AISNA is open to membership for academics, independet scholars, education professionals and individuals with a proven scholarly or professional interest in North American literature, history, society, and culture.

AISNA membership includes:

  • membership in the European Association for American Studies (EAAS)
  • eligibility for AISNA and EAAS grants and scholarships
  • reduced fees for AISNA’s biennial conferences
  • reduced membership fee for CSA (Centro Studi Americani)
  • subscription to AISNA’s listserv
  • the right to vote during official meetings

To become an AISNA member, send an application email and CV to aisna.office@gmail.com

Make sure that your CV highlights your scholarly or professional interest in American Studies. Letters of introduction by scholars or AISNA members are welcome, but not required.

AISNA does not charge an admission fee. New members pay their membership dues AFTER admission.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

The yearly membership fee is €110 and it is due by March 31, each year. A reduced membership fee of €35 per calendar year applies to members below the age of 40 who are:

  • non-tenured academics OR
  • not employed on a permanent basis.

A 10% surcharge is added for all payments received after the March 31st deadline.

AISNA/ CSA DUAL MEMBERSHIP

AISNA members can add CSA (Centro Studi Americani in Rome) membership at a discount, if paying while renewing their AISNA membership. CSA membership provides access to the CSA library and online resources.

Dual membership is €160 per calendar year: €110 AISNA + €50 CSA. Please specify this option in your payment description. If also paying for CSA membership, you authorize AISNA to transfer your full name and email address to CSA for membership purposes.
