Bio

My research focuses on ideas of race and class in radical movements across the West. My first monograph, forthcoming with the University of Illinois Press, explores racial thought in the American socialist movement. My research has been published in the Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, RSA Journal, the Annali della Fondazione Einaudi. Currently, I am working on a project on ideas of race, colonialism and imperialism in the Second International (1889-1914).

I was co-chair of the AISNA Graduate Forum from 2015 to 2019, now I am an elected member of the organisation’s Steering Committee.
